- The Quito Space Tether, completed in 2313, is christened for use and officially named.[1] At this event a monument to doctors Tobias Fleming Shaw and Wallace Fujikawa the co-creators of the Shaw-Fujikawa Translight Engine was placed in the elevators orbital receiving station.[2]
