Lepidus is the powerful Jiralhanae Shipmaster of the CCS-class Battlecruiser Triumphant Declaration in the Fleet of Furious Redemption. He led the Brute forces in the Second Battle of Earth and the first part of the Battle of Installation 00. It is assumed he was killed in the Battle of the Ark.[1]

Lepidus was also the name of a Roman politician and General who, along with Octavian (later known as Emperor Augustus) and Marcus Antonious (Marc Antony) formed the Second Triumvirate, which governed the Roman Republic from 43-33 b.c.e.
