Introduction

The Missile Pod is a missile-launching weapon. It can hold up to 8 missiles. The rockets are highly explosive and can lock onto vehicles.

Operation

It is a rocket/missile launcher type weapon and can only carry 8 rounds.

Once picked up the player will appear in third person view. Due to the weapon's weight, the wielder will run at a slower pace. Also, it is said to be fairly harder to aim while in this mode.

The rounds are capable of tracking targets. This weapon will replace the Halo 2 SPNKrs' ability to lock on to vehicles as it was stated by Frankie that the rocket launcher no longer locks on.

Trivia

• This is one of two current third-person view weapons. The other is the Machinegun Turret.
• The Missile Pod could possibly be the M19-B SAM Missile Launcher that was used by Alpha Company and Beta Company.
• By most players in the Halo 3 Beta, it is considered "Under powered, unaccutrate and weak".
