Scorpion type rockets are a type of explosive ordinance used by the UNSC. These rockets are commonly mounted on SkyHawk jets and Longsword fighters. They are equipped with motion tracking systems and proximity detonators. They are able to attain high cruising speeds and are very accurate. Their guidance systems quickly lock on to a target and they are designed with the power to destroy tanks.

In Halo: The Fall of Reach, Colonel James Ackerson dispatched a SkyHawk to attack SPARTAN-117 and Cortana on a testing run. The SkyHawk launched a Scorpion rocket at the Spartan, but it failed to kill him, a result of John 117 literally swatting the rocket away with his energy shield protected arm, an improvisation.
