Don't let its luxury fool you, the Pious Inquisitor is one of the fastest ships in the Covenant armada.

The Pious Inquisitor was a Covenant vessel of unspecified classification reputed to be "one of the fastest ships" in the Covenant fleet. The Pious Inquisitor saw action at the First Battle of Earth. The multiplayer level Midship is located in an unspecified section of this vessel. Atypically luxurious for a Covenant warship, the vessel may or may not have been the Prophet of Regret's flagship. However this is unlikely since the vessel is too small to be a Carrier. The Pious can be told that it is at Earth due to the fact that Earth is to the front of it.

Trivia

• According to bonus features in the Halo 2 Collectors Edition, Begotten Angel was the original name of the vessel featured in Midship. Slower, but more luxurious than the Pious Inquisitor, Begotten Angel was instead placed in the Conversations of the Universe packet as a vessel which was destroyed by a super-MAC round shortly upon arrival in the First Battle of Earth.
