I was always under the impression that the Prophets themselves destroyed their homeworld, using the weapons of the Keyship, perhaps from some last vindictive spite. Given the weapons available to a Forerunner ship, it's hardly impossible that it could have sent their home star into supernova. Not really, Cryptum takes place 100,000+ years before the planet was destroyed. It was wiped clean by a Halo, but that was before the San'Shyuum were reseeded after the war.SPARTAN-347 18:59, 11 January 2011 (EST)
