The Captain Ultra is the second highest attainable rank a Brute can achieve[1], next to Chieftain, they wear cyan Power Armor, which signifies higher rank than the gold Brute Captain Majors.[2]
Rank Differences
Some think that all three Brute Captain Ranks are equal, but that is not true. Others mistake which colour signifies which rank. The Captains have violet power armour, Captain Majors have gold power armour, and Captain Ultras have cyan armour as shown on the right. The cyan colour can be mistaken for a Brute Bodyguard's, which is a light cobalt colour, and the Bodyguards possess a red undergarment, as opposed to the standard one worn by the Captain Ultras. Captain Ultras are approximately a counterpart to Ultra Elites, given the number of troops they command, their superior strength and tactical ability and their rarity on the battlefield.

Trivia
- Despite possessing much stronger shields than the Captain Regular ones, and slightly stronger than the Captain Major ones, they're still a bit below those of a Major Domo Elite: in fact, on the Normal difficulty, a single shot from a Beam Rifle will destroy the Power Armour of an Ultra Captain, but won't drain completely the shield of a Major Domo.
- Interestingly, neither a Captain Ultra, nor any other kind of Brute Captain, has ever been seen manning a Wraith or a Prowler. Also the only way to make them drive a Chopper is to let yours be hijacked.
