This is also not necessarily a Covenant species. Someone please change these pages so that I don't have to try to and screw it up! They have yet to be confirmed as anything more than random wildlife that Bungie wanted to put on the ring, and as such, it is wrong of this community to assume that they are anything more than that.
They could be pets owned by the Covenant.
