Is it possible that the [[Spec Ops Commander]] was just being respectful to his commanding officer, and not calling him by rank but rather a title, like ''sir'' or ''officer''.

Title, not Rank?

Is it possible that the Spec Ops Commander was just being respectful to his commanding officer, and not calling him by rank but rather a title, like sir or officer.
