The game has set point limit of 10 to reach, with each destination reached earning you or your VIP 1 point. At the start of the match, one VIP is randomly selected from the four teams, with the VIP acting as the gunner and the other teammate as the driver. Drivers of the teams then proceed to escort their VIPs to the different destinations on the map, while the VIPs focus on keeping the other teams away with their [[weaponry]]. One twist to the game however is that it is a [[Rocket Launcher]] only gametype with no damage enabled. This results in players and [[vehicles]] flying around the map when any rocket hits their vehicle. This type of game focuses on fun and often chaotic gameplay. However, sometimes the teammate that isn't the VIP will only run around trying to kill as many people as possible, making the game less enjoyable. Rocket Race is usually played on Sandtrap, Valhalla, sometimes Rat's Nest or slightly less commonly, Standoff.
