Little is known about possible fighting taking place in the area after this. When John-117 returned to Earth on November 17th, he fought in the [[Tsavo]] region and the town of [[Voi]], but was not present in Mombasa. However, it is unknown whether fighting, and a possible battle similar to the one depicted in the monument, actually took place in Mombasa at this time, only without the Spartan present.
