The Covenant Frigate[1] is a medium-tonnage warship, seeming to be among the smallest and the most common warship types among the Covenant Fleets. These starships are equipped with multiple pulse lasers, at least one and possibly up to three Plasma Torpedo launchers on a lateral surface. They have particpated in most Covenant-UNSC engagements. They are larger than a UNSC Frigate or UNSC Destroyer, but smaller than most UNSC cruisers (such as the Marathon-class) and like most other Covenant starships they have an curving, bulbous shape.
Furthermore, the Sangheili also equipped their starships with anti-Plasma Torpedo "counter guiding signal" systems.[2] The Jiralhanae stole this technology during the Covenant Civil War and equipped some of their frigates, such as the Reverant, Twilight Compunction, and Tenebrous with such devices.
