Problem with the info on font colors

Uh... yeah. Guys, don't use the HTML FONT tag. It's deprecated -- for those who aren't experienced with web development, that means that the FONT tag

  • Sucks -- CSS is much more powerful.
  • It's outdated, it's obsolete.
  • Support for it will be dropped in the future -- web browsers will stop supporting it, and it will stop working.

SPAN tags with CSS are much better for a few reasons.

  • They're not deprecated -- they will, for all of the foreseeable future, always work.
  • You can use multiple properties on them without requiring multiple elements. The code "<span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold; color: red">Italic bold red text</span>" is more memory-efficient for users than "<b><i><font color="red">Italic bold red text</font></i></b>", even though it's longer.
  • You can specify the color as a name (color:red, though the choices are limited), hex triplet (color:#FF0000), shorthand hex triplet (color:#F00 = color:#FF0000), or RGB (color:rgb(255,0,0)) -- it's much more flexible.

So, in summation, try to stay away from FONT tags, and this article needs to be changed to stop recommending them. DavidJCobb 22:05, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

What does "You can not create a poll until you have at least 3 edits" mean?

What does "You can not create a poll until you have at least 3 edits" mean? i dont get it! I just joined halopedia because it looked awesome...and it says "You cannot create a poll til you have atleast 3 edits...I DONT KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!

It means exactly what it says. Edit three articles - improving spelling, adding new information, or rewording a sentence/paragraph/section to be better. -- Councillor Specops306 - Kora 'Morhek 20:47, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
