The Containment Shield is a shield wall in [[Halo 2]] on the level [[Sacred Icon (Level)|Sacred Icon]] that had to be lowered in order for the [[Arbiter (character)|Arbiter]] to enter the [[Library]] and recover the [[The Index|Icon]]. The Containment Shield is a shield wall in Halo 2 on the level Sacred Icon. It helped cotain the Flood inside the Quarantine Zone, and keep out anything that could sustain the flood. It had to be lowered in order for the Arbiter to enter the Library and recover the Icon. Unfortunately, when the shield wall was lowered, the Flood was released onto the rest of Installation 05. As a result of this the UNSC In Amber Clad was taken over by the Flood and flown into the Covenant City of High Charity.
