:::That's essentially correct. Nurse Hershey and Chief Engineer Prescott exist in canon as they are mentioned in the in-game timeline, even if their journal entries from Devine's website aren't canon. Some elements, like Team Omega being on Spirit of Fire, are not canon, since only Jerome, Douglas, and Alice actually left Arcadia. Another glaringly non-canon element of Mr. Devine's "fan fiction" is the Cyclops being designed as a shock infantry platform and being replaced by the SPARTAN-IIIs; The Essential Visual Guide provides a totally different and much more believable background. For the most part these fanfic pieces don't blatantly contradict established canon, but 343 Industries doesn't seem to acknowledge their existence, so I tend to ignore them as well. --Courage never dies. 19:22, 7 June 2012 (EDT)

Well unless its also stated some were else in the canon(if so please tell me were) one of his fanfics i thank its called "what happen to the spirit of fire" or something like that. talks about how the families of those on the spirit fought to keep them as MIA and to release more information about what happen to them one of the Waypoint videos mentioned that as well (im not saying there canon but you COULD look at them in a ILB way) --10of13 14:23, 2 July 2012 (EDT)

Omega in Infinite
Regarding the newly-added images of Omega's Halsey-refit Mk. IV armour in Halo: Infinite, I would suggest retaking them (and editing the associated text) to remove all three helmet attachments (BRONTES, GHOSWHIT, and TYPHON-X). The only reason Omega's images are shown equipped with them is purely to show off the contents of the store bundle. The helmets come with an optional attachment, like every Mk. IV helmet in the store, but none of them are actually utilised by the canon Omega Team in any of their previous depictions.
Omega Team never use the Corinthian Sigil, yet every screenshot released by 343 shows at least one of them equipped with it - because it's in the Bundle. Omega Team don't use green 'Enlisted' visors, but the images for the Ardent, Paladin and Valiant bundles all show them. This is not some new addition to their armour - it's because their Bundles don't include visors, plain and simple.
I would suggest retaking these images with the helmet attachments removed, and to better suit their canon depictions, either the Noble, Vandal, or Aurum Evolved visors. 2.29.64.207 10:32, January 31, 2024 (EST)
