Does anyone have a working explanation of what a hitbox is? If I am interpreting it correctly, it is the gamespace regulated and controlled by a specific object or model. According to that, rocks and trees would also have their own hitboxes, which would regulate when and where a collision could occur, i.e. the hitbox is what the player runs into in a collision, not the actual tree model itself. However, on an actual player unit such as a Spartan, the hitboxes would also control what projectiles are registered in-game as a 'hit', meaning that a projectile must hit the hitbox instead of the model to count as a hit. This object domain space would be similar to the physics tags developed for vehicles to allow for environmental collisions instead of just passing right through an object. Sure is. It's actually inspired from one of General5 7's old signatures. I like its style and compactness, even though the script for it is enormous. Also, this will probably be deleted, since this is socializing on a talk page and is not allowed. If it isn't deleted soon, I'll probably come back and delete it myself.
