Talk:Gravity throne

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

I am suggesting making this a section within the main Prophet article, but keeping a seperate article altogether (dedicated to the gravity throne)-- Black Mercy 19:13, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

add grav[edit]

It appears that the lesser prophets of high charity use a less technologically advance version of the gravity throne with more of a inference on mobility then defense .it appears based on rank are position is where specific groups of prophets get their model chair types.

Junior san’shyuum 20 are more chair groups Senior minister staffers 7 minimum chair groups Vice ministers 3 to a group Full ministers single chairs

”junior san’shyuum rated the least powerful chairs and traveled in rings of twenty are more ,packed arm-to-arm to maximize the rings anti-grav field.” “Senior minister staffers might manage rings as small as seven” “And the sophistication of vice ministers, chairs made it possible for them commute in trios” “But only full ministers such as fortitude rated units sufficiently powerful for individual flight”

Add halo wars throne pics and upgrades(including upgrade effects)[edit]

Anyone agree?Greatleader 15:38, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

I agree. I've always hated the coloring and shading of the current image.Fire Eater 00:55, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

Weight[edit]

Since Stephen Loftus was cited as a source for Noble Six being male, I'd like to propose this weight measurement for the gravity throne put forth by the very same (as ScaleMaster117) on Waypoint. [1] "1,872 lb. (-0.9 tons)" The exact quote. --216.145.70.99 08:25, 6 October 2013 (EDT)

I, being Stephen Loftus, would propose that my value NOT be used. You asked me what might be a reasonable guess. My guess was based on the compared volumes of the gravity throne and the Ghost (my choice) as a known mass value. The assumption was based on the Ghost and gravity throne being made with the same materials at approximately the same density. While that calculation works, we have NO evidence whatsoever that gravity thrones are made of the same kinds of materials as the Ghost. No evidence means no business being on Halopedia. There are things in the Halo universe that can be unknown and yet calculated...I've done plenty before and they are canon now (threshold's and Basis' diameters, the size of the Voi portal, etc.), but you'll have to state where, in something official, it states that gravity thrones and Ghosts are similar in manufacture before anything would get added here. What was done on Waypoint was a thought exercise...no something that would lead to a canonical value. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 11:28, 6 October 2013 (EDT)

Merge[edit]

A merge was proposed by Forgotten Helljumper (talk | contribs) recently. I second this proposal. The current article is simply an elaboration of anti-gravity chair, specifically those used by the Hierarchs. It would be better if this information be moved/merged with the anti-gravity chair article. — subtank 11:05, 8 March 2014 (EST)

I agree. Along with the talk page, the two articles should be merged. There is some similarities between the two articles as well. A section or sub-section could be created on the anti-gravity chair to cover this article. - NightHammer (talk) 16:53, 25 August 2014 (EDT)
