21st Century?[edit]

During what war in the 21st century was the Base built? --86.121.54.98 16:50, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

That's unknown--MCDBBlits 02:21, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Correction, 20th century, and this facility doesn't exist in real time-so it is meaningless to associate it with any 20th century militiary conflict.--Plasmic Physics 10:25, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

WW2[edit]

this base was not built for world war 2. most of the technology the marines call old didn't exist yet during world war 2. CaptJim 21:56, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Thats because it would have been updated for UNSC use. 1st UserWiki:ONI recon 111|Class]] Cadet ONI recon 111 | File:1227612553 First3.jpg|30px]] 10:28, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

I don't know why people are saying that it is a Cold War base, as the Cold War was never fought in Kenya, or Africa for that matter. Gruntijackal

It is assumed. The article never specifically stated it is a Cold War base. The Cold War was one of the most critical period in the 20th century and countries at that time would created multiple bases to get ready for a potential conflict. In fact, during the World War II, San Francisco had several underground bases built by the US Navy just in case if the Japanese ever tried to attack the mainland.Discovery Channel: Cities of the Underworld. :P- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 13:11, September 2, 2009 (UTC)
Adding to that, it wouldn't be the first time a country had a military base in another country where they didn't belong. *cough* Guantanamo *cough* -DinoBenn says "Fight to the End, Never Give In" File:S4.jpg|18px]] 13:21, September 2, 2009 (UTC)
