The alchemically-enhanced soldier, '''Kolby''', was a Commander of a Unified Nations Security Confederation (UNSC) battalion of Sky Marshal astro-ranger during the Final War against the Covenant. He led a desperate raid on the Project: PERPETUA factory complex on Luna, which the Covenant had occupied. ==History==
At 1045 Hours on November 3, 67 AP, Commander Kolby, and his battalion of three hundred Sky Marshal astro-rangers were deployed from the SCS ''Brísingamen'', a frigate-class star-zepplin and the UNSC's last space-faring skyship, to an abandoned cosmodrome on Luna to prevent the Covenant from gaining access to Project: PERPETUA. The battalion's mission was to either secure the modified SCS ''Perpetua'' and turn it against the mutant cultist or to destroy the star-zeppelin and prevent its use against the UNSC. After landing in the cosmodrome, Kolby rallied with the Sky Marshals Chen, Tchakova, and Vickers before destroying a Covenant archon sky-striker battery with a satchel of CX-12 explosives.

During the mission, Kolby's cosmocom received a transmission from Professor Henrik Gläsmann of Section Three. Kolby decided to break off from his fireteam to attempt to rescue Gläsmann and an alleged group of civilians hiding from the Covenant in a bunker. Kolby arrived at the bunker only to find Gläsmann alone and that he had defected to the Covenant. By the time he was able to return to his fireteam, they had fallen to the Covenant, with Tchakova succumbing to her wounds as he arrived. Kolby began issuing orders to the remaining 183 Sky Marshals of his battalion before they released the crawling mist, a weaponized nanocloud that disrupts communication equipment, obscures vision, melts flesh, disintegrates armor, and causes psychosis. Kolby quickly retrieved Nocturne Goggles from Tchakova before ascending a two-story building to escape from the grasp of the purple mist. Kolby regrouped with the surviving Sky Marshals of his battalion and advanced towards the SCS ''Perpetua'', arriving just in time to see that Covenant was installing the star-zepplin's atomic reactor. As Sky Marshal Aiken led six Sky Marshals to secure the star-zepplin, Kolby was fatally wounded by the mutant leader of the Covenant, the Prophet, and ordered Aiken to escape aboard the star-zepplin. The fate of Commander Kolby and his battalion of Sky Marshals is unknown to all on Earth. However, Covenant atomic activity on Luna has ceased, and there have been no off-world communications on the cosmocom for years. Kolby's sacrifice allowed the SCS ''Perpetua'' and SCS ''Brísingamen'' to tether and travel into space together. Commander Kolby is equipped with the vacuum-sealed and titanium-plated Eaglestrike. Kolby used the SKY MARSHAL helmet with the cosmocom attachment, the Jackknife chest attachment, and the Night Watch armor coating. Kolby's Eaglestrike armor had a jump pack, Triplex Aero software to trace projectiles to their source, and a wrist-mounted Kythera Battlepad.
