The Forerunner Lifesupport Pod is a Forerunner structure located on Beasley's Plateau, Arcadia, in close proximity to the Arcadia ONI facility and Forerunner ruins. As of 2531, the structure was controlled by an unidentified insurrectionist group operating on Arcadia.
Forerunner Lifepods are fallen Forerunner pods which give a ten unit population increase bonus to the Covenant and UNSC forces. These raises make the Covenant population rise to 50, or 60 if they have the Followers upgrade. It raises the UNSC population to 40, or 50 if they have the population upgrade, Reinforcements.

The structure is an anti-gravity tower, composed of a square platform suspended in the air when activated, with protective walls occupying each corner of the platform, thereby blocking access between the platform's edges. When deactivated, the platform rests on the square base underneath, with the walls rotated and holstered under the platform.
Advantages
*Increases army size.
*If playing as the Covenant, the player can support three Scarabs if having researched the Followers upgrade.
*Increases UNSC population to its highest possibility: 50 units.
*Strengthens the units inside due to garrison physics, making defending it easier. In addition, there are two cover areas on either side which further relieve in this task.

In-game information
Disadvantages
Halo Wars
Allthough seemingly advantageous be able to support an additional 10 units, the lifepod has downsides to it, as well. These are as follows:
The Forerunner Lifesupport Pod appears exclusively on the Halo Wars Skirmish level Beasley's Plateau. Like Forerunner Supply Elevators on Blood Gulch, it is defended by a large amount of Rebel Infantry units rather than Aggressor Sentinels, despite its Forerunner nature.
*The Lifepod is guarded by Rebel Infantry, making it difficult to capture at the start of a game.

*Once under a player's control, the lifepod may be highly contested among players.
Units garrisoned in the Lifesupport Pod receive the same defensive bonus as they would in a Covenant watchtower.
*Only one lifepod appears in Halo Wars on a single map, making them very rare.

*Focusing military resources on the lifepod may result in the loss of the player's base due to the lack of adequate defenses. Since the lifepod is not a base, the player will most likely loose the game.
When garrisoned, the Lifesupport Pod provides an additional 10 unit population increase bonus to the Covenant and UNSC forces. This bonus raises the maximum UNSC population to 50 if they have the population upgrade, Reinforcements. The maximum Covenant population rise to 60 if the player has researched the Followers upgrade, allowing Covenant players to support up to three Scarabs.

Trivia
*The Lifepod only appears on one map in Halo Wars.
*It is one of the few Forerunner structures not defended by Sentinels. The only other Forerunner structure not protected by Sentinels is the Forerunner Supply Elevator.
