Background

The Musashi was one of the hundreds of ships that was present at the Battle of Reach. The aft section's engines were still burning even after it was severed from the rest of the ship [1].

Trivia

  • Musashi obtained its name from Miyamoto Musashi, a master swordsman one of the greatest warriors of ancient Japan.
  • The ship may also be a reference to the Japanese battleship Musashi from the Second World War, holding the title of being one of the largest battleships on the Pacific front, and at the time, along with its sister ship Yamato, held the record for largest gun ever mounted on a battleship. The Musashi was eventually sunk by the fighters and ships of the American task force during the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
