"A kinder, gentler Hornet."

The Transport Hornet is a variant of the AV-14 Hornet, predominantly designed for light transport purposes.

Overview

Specifications

Main article: AV-14 Hornet

The Transport Hornet is identical in most aspects to the original AV-14 - its primary difference is the lack of the missile launchers found on the base Hornet variant, alongside a weaker autocannon.[Note 1] The Transport Hornet has been seen bearing a white paint scheme, in contrast with the olive traditionally associated with UNSC aircraft.

Gameplay

The Transport Hornet was introduced into Halo 3 with the release of the Legendary Map Pack map Avalanche. The Hornet in this map was nerfed for balance reasons to make it viable for multiplayer play[3], and was later included on the map Sandbox alongside the regular AV-14 to spawn in Forge mode.
