Template:Infobox Military Unit Tango Company was a group of Marines of the UNSC posted at Reach in 2523. Chief Petty Officer Mendez made the SPARTAN-IIs train with Tango Company by making them play games of Capture the Flag. As of July 14, the Spartans had played seven such games, and Tango Company was getting tired of losing, so they stopped playing by the rules, using live rounds and abusing captured Spartans.

Nevertheless, the Spartans were able to win time and time again, once by infiltrating the base and exploding Stun Grenades beneath the barracks of the company, inflicting many casualties, then sniping the guards around the flag pole and hiding in the trees. Tango Company then sent a Pelican to try to trick the Spartans, but once again, they outsmarted and overcame Tango Company.

Many times the Spartans were referred to as the "freak Section Three kids" due to the fact that Tango Company was tired of losing games against a bunch of 12 year olds. More than once they had mistreated the Spartans, in particular James, whom they had captured during one of the games. They claimed he "fell" down a flight of stairs while transfering from cells in their single-story base. It took James a full week to recover from his injuries.

NOTE: Tango Company is only part of a larger unit, which is never specifically named. It is standard to name different companies of a unit by letter, so theoretically, there is a "Tango Company" in every Division of troops. Note this to clear any potential confusion. [1]
