How is it that he was a four star Admiral in 2525, and a three star Vice Admiral in 2551? Was he demoted for some reason? Usually it works the other way, with people ascending in rank, not descending. Or was it a typo? I hope so, because if not, this is rather troubling. Any time a general officer (general or admiral) is demoted, it's a huge deal that invariably results in the rumor mills working overtime in the service affected, so it's unlikely anyone bumped from four star to three star would be a revered and respected leader in any serice. In fact, in many cases, the person affected chooses to resign rather than face the shame of losing a star.

Yes. Just provide a reference indicating it was his most recent rank. If you don't know how to do this, just list page numbers here, and I'll do it for you. -- <b><span style="color: black">Manticore</span></b> File:Fleet Admiral.jpg|20px]] <span style="color: black">Talk</span> | <span style="color: black">CSV</span> 07:04, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Demotion?[edit]

Nylund was pretty adamant in Halo: Ghosts of Onyx in saying that Jeromi had gained and lost rank. At the same time, he made it pretty clear that Jeromi didnt care about his rank so much as he cared about saving lives. I'm sure there was a lot of buzz every time Jeromi was promoted/demoted, but I doubt he really cared about his rank; he probably commanded the Hopeful either way. -ED 19:47, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Fair Enough.

Wiki-recorded rank[edit]

While his highest known rank was Admiral, his most recently stated rank was Vice Admiral. Shouldn't we use his most recent rank as the listed one instead of his highest achieved? --Forgottenlord 07:00, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Yes. Just provide a reference indicating it was his most recent rank. If you don't know how to do this, just list page numbers here, and I'll do it for you. -- Manticore File:Fleet Admiral.jpg|20px]] Talk | CSV 07:04, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
