Two Murphy's in Halo: The Flood

This is what concerns me why was their like two Murphy's in Halo: The Flood, one Mary Murphy or the ODST Private named Murphy whom was 1st Lieutenant Melissa McKay's driver on the convoy run from the Autumn to Alpha Base, though I have a question was this Murphy named Mary related or brother or sister or step cousin or was it a different Murphy may I ask?
