Anyone notice the symbol "FFG-88" in Halo 4s' Adrift Map?

I also saw it. In the recent IGN of Halo 4 multiplayer maps, they showed Adrift and that UNSC has a new symbol "CFM-88" --Dr Mutran 14:30, 9 October 2012 (EDT)

AC=54

Listing AC as a frigate class makes no sense. Historically, no HCS of those letters has meant frigate - they were attached to a bulk cargo ship called a Collier. I have no idea what whoever "slipper" is run by was thinking when they gave the HCS as AC. Even the people in the IRC seem confused about it.
