I think that Pelicans and Phantoms were originally meant to be used in space combat, along with Sabres and Seraphs. This may just be wild guess work, but why would they design a flight animation? :Probably because they are used as NPC objects and in cutscenes. I cannot edit this article well and request one with more experience to edit this, I can confirm that both vehicles are flyable, and can be ridden as passengers.

I think that Pelicans and Phantoms were originally meant to be used in space combat, along with Sabres and Seraphs. This may just be wild guess work, but why would they design a flight animation? - Probably because they are used as NPC objects and in cutscenes. The animations and controls were poorly designed so I highly doubt the Pelicans and Phantoms were leftovers, however the Seraph could well be a leftover (Even though it's a Banshee clone). -Relick 08:09, 7 November 2010 (EST)
