The Tala system is a formerly Covenant-held planetary system containing at least four planets. The fourth planet in this system is Balaho, the Unggoy homeworld. The system's blue supergiant star is named Tala, hence the system's name.[1]
Trivia
In Tagalog, "tala" means "star"; this is similar to a number of Unggoy-related names (e.g. "Unggoy" and "Buwan"), which are derived from Tagalog.
