A suicide grunt
In Halo 3, if their brute leader dies, some grunts will pull out two plasma grenades and kill themselves by running towards the Master Chief and his allies. Thus, in all difficulty modes, Suicide grunts can kill the player in a single hit and cause chaos. They are also known as "kamikaze grunts".
