Render to Video will be a new add-on feature for Halo 3 from Bungie Studios allowing players to capture in-game moments and upload them directly to their computers. Many aspiring Machinima makers are awaiting this update.

"Render to Video" was announced around October 2008.Template:Fact It has been announced by Bungie to become a way to transfer your Halo 3 videos or screen shots from your Xbox 360 hard drive to your PC.[1]

It has not been confirmed on whether or not it will be available to Mac users.

Rumors

  1. The beta has been rumored to be released for Bungie workers around early of the week of December 7-13, but this has not been confirmed.
  2. The most popular rumor circulating around Bungie.net, is that it should be released around early 2009.
  3. Another rumor, which may have a bit of proof, is that it will require a subscription to Bungie Pro.

Trivia

  • Render to Video may be released around the beginning of 2009, along with the Mythic Map Pack. A beta may have been released for Bungie members early in the beginning of the week of December 7-13 (Date Already Passed)
  • They are still testing it internally, as it is a big deal and will take some time.
  • A release date has not been specified yet.
