Quarantine Zone floor glitch

This is a glitch in the Quarantine Zone (Level) that involves another hole to hell type glitch. The glitch occurs between the start of Part 3: "Shooting Gallery" and the following checkpoint. Go down to the bottom of the gondola, where there is a tunnel that flood will come out of. Keep pushing forward on the joystick(might have to dance around to find it) but don't actually go into the tunnel. If you find the right spot, it looks as though you walked to the end of the tunnel and jumped off. You do not land on the bottom of the gondola, you just die. This has only been confirmed on Easy Difficulty. It may not have anything to do with this but I did have an unlimited sword and a plasma rifle. Attempts to find this hole later in the game(a few checkpoints from then) have failed.

One theory is that this is Bungie's way of preventing you from hiding in the tunnel too early.
