The Naval Special Warfare Sniper School was a NAVSPECWAR course to train selected personnel from various units in the UNSC in the technical skills and operational procedures necessary to deliver precision rifle fire from concealed positions to selected targets in support of special operations forces and various combat units.[1] Most of the training is classified, however, the course is designed to develope snipers that plan and execute operations on their own, in a two man team, or in support of combat forces on various planets, and under harsh conditions. The length of the course is unknown, but the final test for graduation comes in the form of an actual real-world sniper mission that may include assassinations of Rebel or corrupt UNSC personnel.[2]
