Kibkib Yany was an Unggoy who served Jul 'Mdama's reformed Covenant faction. In October 2558, 'Mdama led his forces—including Yany—to the Forerunner world of Kamchatka, apparently in search for weapons to use against Arbiter Thel 'Vadam's Swords of Sanghelios.[1]
In his personal journal, Yany noted that he despised being on Kamchatka, as he hated the cold. However, he also made note of his desire to find Forerunner weapons on Kamchatka that would enable the Covenant to destroy the Swords of Sanghelios, particularly 'Vadam himself. However, Yany was killed on Kamchatka when the fore of a Sangheili blockade runner crashed down on top of him and others. His corpse and personal journal was later discovered by Fireteam Osiris.[1]
