Io Station is a United Nations Space Command military platform in orbit around Io, the third largest moon of Jupiter.
Presumably, the station's probes detected the Prophet of Regret's fleet when it passed near the moon before the Battle of Earth.[1] The station contacted John-117 on the Forerunner Dreadnought before the Spartan contacted Cairo Station later in the battle.[2]
