The International Society of Civil Engineers was an organization based on Earth, established in the year 2021.[1] The organization constructed the Quito Space Tether on Earth on January 14, 2313,[2] and a memorial dedicated to the International Society of Civil Engineers was later added to the space elevator inscribing its completion and designation dates, as well as the above quote.[1]
