Artificial intelligence suppressors, commonly referred to as suppressors, were pieces of Forerunner technology designed to deactivate ancillas. The suppressors were able to debrief and transfer all of the targeted ancilla's collected information instantly.[1] After subsuming a personal armor's ancilla, the suppressor could be used to manipulate the individual wearing the armor due to the suit's integration with its wearer. Through this connection, the suppressor could be used to physically restrain an individual, prevent the armor from healing them,[2] or force the wearer into unconsciousness.[3] On Installation 07, Mendicant Bias used similar technology to take control of Forerunners' armor and use the suits physically crush their wearers.[4]
