The 511th Infantry Division were a division-level unit within the UNSC Armed Forces. In December 2559, members of the division were assigned as a part of the infantry complement aboard UNSC Infinity. When the ship was ambushed over Installation 07, elements of the unit successfully escaped the carrier and landed on Installation 07 in a remote region of the ring disconnected from other UNSC survivors. The survivors of the landing took to surveying their fragment of the now-shattered ring while trying to avoid and resist against the occupying Banished forces.[1]
