To hold off Mendicant Bias long enough for The Arrays to fire. |
Offensive Bias is a Forerunner A.I. that was sent to keep Mendicant Bias from reaching Installation 00 in time to stop the Array sequence. It was succesful. Even though Mendicant Bias' fleet outnumbered Offensive Bias'by 436.6:1, Offensive Bias still defeated Mendicant Bias. During this battle, the Halo Array was fired which killed all sentient beings in the galaxy not under some protection the Forerunners made. (Shield planets? Housing on the ark?) It can also be assumed that despite its success it was eventually destroyed by Mendicant Bias as the rampant AI resided in Installation 00 until it was destroyed along with the Ark.
