Out of all his squad mates, Bucks most complicated relationship was with Romeo due to his sarcasm and sardonic attitude. Though he respected Romeo's skills as a sniper, Buck was frequently annoyed with Romeo's attitude during missions, at one point ordering him to remain silent during the drop in New Mombasa after mocking the Navy's defeat only to be further annoyed when Romeo refused to speak until given permission after he and Buck reunited. Despite Romeo's less than agreeable personality, Buck genuinely cared for his safety and saved his life after Romeo was severely injured after being attacked by a Brute Chieftain.
