Hello. I am ED.

I am an Admin here at Halopedia. I joined on October 10, 2005 as "Ed", but during the transfer of domains, I had to change to "ED". I am a fanatic for writing, which is why I am here. I am enrolled at the Ohio University Scripps school of Journalism, majoring in news editing. I will also be enrolled in ROTC to get a comission as a Lieutenant in the US Army armor branch. Cause I wanna be a bamf when I grow up. Hmm, well about me. I live in a little corner of Ohio that is always too cold in the morning and always windy when it's too cold. Lived here all my life, but don't let that fool you; I'm out of here as soon as I graduate from OU, probably to Texas and Fort Hood. I was in JROTC for my first two years of high school, which is why I seem to know so much about the american military; right now, I'm taking a break from all that, let my hair grow a little, and getting ready for the real thing. Right now I have dredlocks, (DrEDlocks, my friends call them) don't make fun of them, they are more amazing than you will ever imagine. My team is the PITTSBURGH STEELERS. I think I'm the only Halopedian who actually has a job, though I can't say my job at Burger King is really all that exciting. It makes me enough money to drive to school in the morning, hang out with my ladyfriends (Oh, I have many of them.) and generally enjoy my senior year of High School. When I'm not doing any of that, I'm here. Sorry folks, the real world has always taken precedence in my mind. A perspective for you: When I joined Halopedia, we had roughly 275 articles and about 100 registered users. Dragonclaws was the only active community member then that is still active today. Exactly one year after I joined, our article counter hit 1,000. I also think it's safe to say that I have either created or overhauled most of the articles here at Halopedia. Action Figures

I used to be able to say that I only had a few of the Halo Action Figures and so I wasn't nerdy. Well my collection is becoming very big, so let me explain: The GameStop next to where I work sells lots of Halo figures, cheap. I used to sell them on Ebay (and keep those that didnt sell well) and my family has taken advantage of this to buy me more Halo figures, cheap. Translation: I have sold or opened most of the Action Figures avaliable. Fanfics

I began a fanfic project around Thanksgiving 2005 about Halo. Its far from complete, but it is one of the biggest projects I've ever done. I work on it off and on, depending on the spare time, and its still far from finished. My story is called Halo: The Bane. It follows a group of Covenant Ranger Elites, led by Ultra Kel 'Koratee, as they bring the wrath of the Covenant to humanity- from Reach to Earth, as well as 'Koratee's personal struggle, to hunt down a very elusive and familiar demon who is responsible for his growing dishonor. The first draft of the story is finished, totaling about 40,000 words (half the length of Halo: Ghosts of Onyx) and I continue to add more to it as more things are revealed about the Covenant society and the Halo universe overall.
