Work Burns and Runaway Grunts is the fourteenth track in Halo Wars: Original Soundtrack.
Work Burns and Runaway Grunts is the fourteenth track from the Halo Wars: Original Soundtrack.

Overview
This soundtrack plays in Halo Wars during gameplay on any campaign or Skirmish level set in the Covenant-occupied planet of Arcadia.
The track opens with synthesizers before strings enter with a slow and melancholic melody. Halfway through, synthesizers join in, briefly taking over before strings return in a dramatic reprise of the melody. The track ends with digital effects and synthesizers fading out.

Appearances
There was also a remix of this song, that was played during the "Press Start" screen of Halo: Waypoint. This, however, was changed in a Waypoint title update after the release of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.
The track plays randomly as a backing track during gameplay on any campaign or Skirmish levels in Halo Wars set on Arcadia, including:
;Campaign
*Arcadia City
*Arcadia Outskirts
*Dome of Light
*Scarab
;Skirmish
*Beasley's Plateau
*Fort Deen
*Pirth Outskirts
*The Docks

Prior to the release of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and the accompanying Halo Waypoint title update , the track also played in the "Press Start" screen of Halo: Waypoint on Xbox 360.
