About me

I'm a 24 year old guy who works as an employee in my local Tesco. I like reading, drawing, and obviously, playing Halo. I prefer reading articles to actually editing although recently I have started taking a more active approach in the improvement of article quality.

I've been playing Halo since CE, back in 2001 when I was six years old, and am a self-professed Halo nerd. A bit fuzzy on the Forerunner side of things, admittedly. I do have all the Halo games and novels, but I have yet to read the Kilo Five trilogy and the Forerunner saga. Once I do I will hopefully have a clearer understanding of those parts of the Halo lore.

I have an ongoing fanfiction, titled 'The Arbiter's Tale', which follows Thel 'Vadam through the events of Halo 2 and 3. Progress, however has halted indefinitely because of work and a lack of motivation. I do hope to revisit it someday. Here's a link to my profile page, if anybody's interested -

Favorite Halo moment

Beating Halo 2 on Legendary difficulty, solo when I was younger.

Worst Halo moment

Halo 5's story and what it did to the lore. Really hope 343 can recover for Infinite.

Anything else

I am a regular Legendary difficulty player, and can say that I have completed every Halo game (even Halo Wars) on Legendary. I actually enjoy Campaign significantly more than Multiplayer, for whatever reason. Am always eager to learn more about the awesome Halo universe. Currently attempting to complete the various Halo games on Mythic difficulty (legendary with all skulls on including blind and with no deaths or saves) following the excellent guides by Victor Morris (MythicTyrant). Thanks Tyrant!! :D

Yeah, I'm seeing that too. Just in case you weren't aware though, might have some you find useful.

No worries. When uploading, the form should be relatively straightforward to fill in but if you have any questions let me know and I can help out. Those templates, for reference, automatically sort the file into "Halo 3 Screenshots" or "Halo Wars concept art" (etc etc) categories, and display the licensing information for the file. It's boring backend stuff but they're good for organisation and whatnot.

Just a heads up that we are moving to Chapter numbers over page numbers for the Halo novels. There is a lot of reasons for this, one being the inconsistent nature of page numbers with so many versions, and ebooks being... well varied with how big your device is a lot of the time.

I got them from ArtStation. Lots of people at Blur post renders or models there for their portfolio.

It's pretty much like that, though I would argue there are instances where using the human names is acceptable in an in-universe context too, if only for the sake of avoiding excessive repetition (though the native names take precedence). It's not a huge deal either way, just something to consider.

Just a heads-up: There's no real need to treat the human names for the Covenant species as if they're profanities, particularly in plot summaries, level transcripts, trivia sections, and the like. It's true that the native Covenant names should be preferred in in-universe accounts, but it's not wrong to employ less formal terminology in sections or articles written from a real-world perspective (you can, for instance, say both "Sangheili" and "Elite" in a plot summary or trivia section).
