Wouldn't having that armor on all the time hinder their immune systems? Making them very vulnerable to disease, like the Quarians? Why didn't Born get sick while on Earth? :I'd imagine that the Forerunners had pretty strong immune systems even without their armor, as they had engineered their biological systems for countless millenia. Bornstellar mentions that the Forerunners were immune to human diseases even without their armor, so he'd probably be pretty safe from - if not entirely immune to - Earth's diseases. However, I wondered the same thing while I was reading Cryptum. I saw Mass Effect parallels throughout the book, especially since both feature forgotten, eons-old races who left behind marvelous, large-scale technology. --"Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have." -Thomas Jefferson 14:32, 27 March 2011 (EDT)
I know, but after thousands of years, they're immune systems would have gotten weaker. They might have originally been immune, but not anymore. Also, don't forget that the Halo Story bible was made LONG before Mass Effect was even though of. :I certainly agree that the Forerunners' immune systems would have degraded due to spending almost their entire lives in their armor. However, I believe that they still would have possessed a great deal of fortitude due to their advanced medical technology. After all, they were the second most advanced race to ever exist. On another note, I didn't mean to suggest that the similarities are deliberate; I know they're coincidental. --"Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have." -Thomas Jefferson 19:50, 27 March 2011 (EDT)
::These are the species who were able to modify human genes to implant genetic memories, and manipulate the DNA of countless "experiments". Is it so hard to believe that they were perfectly capable of keeping their own immune systems at their peak? We know they rely on their suits more than is probably healthy, but they're not totally dependent on them. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 05:28, 28 March 2011 (EDT)
:::True. But I already came up with a theory while reading the book. My theory is that the Armor regularly injects the Forerunners with the diseases, albeit dead. So their immune system can fight it. That way their immune system would remain strong. But I think I like SpecOps' idea better!Vegerot (talk) 11:01, 28 March 2011 (EDT)!!

:That's vaccinations, Vegerot. But vaccinations aren't fool-proof. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 19:59, 30 April 2011 (EDT)
