Talk:Beacon tower

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

(Redirected from Talk:Beam emitter)

The article states that the beam is sent to another emitter on the other side of the halo, but "Valhalla" is on the ark, so where does it send to??? --Hexhunter 18:30, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Maybe to some unseen beacon above, but thats just a guess. If that's not it, it could be Hershey, PA. :P SPARTAN Rozh 02:22, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Beam emitter in Halo 4[edit]

Where in Halo 4 does the Beam emitter make an appearance? Are we referring to the mysterious Forerunner pylons in the level Forerunner, or the ones on Ragnarok? Either way, I'm not really sure this is really true. But then again, maybe it is. Should be some mention and maybe an image or two added. Anyway, I've been trying to collect some data to compile a new article on the Forerunner pylons so as to make it more evident as to what they do exactly in the game, since it may most likely be not very clear what their purpose is, which it isn't to me. I could use a little help here. Anyone care to offer something to help with this? --Xamikaze330 [Transmission|Commencing] 22:02, 30 October 2013 (EDT)Xamikaze330

One at least erupts from the Ragnarok tower in Spartan Ops. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 22:49, 30 October 2013 (EDT)

Possible other/main use of the beam emitter[edit]

In a recent video by IGN, "Halo: Combat Evolved Devs React to Speedrun (Marty O'Donnell, Marcus Lehto)" Couple of the devs said this about one of the beam emitters in the level Halo

--Jaime Griesemer?--Marcus didn't you decide that those like big laser beams were like piping with communication lasers or something

--Marcus Lehto--Yes, they were firing from one side of the ring to the other side of the ring

I'm not sure who the first voice is but possibly the beam emitters are/used to be for communication though that could just be that he didn't hear that part though or something.
