Ramonda Avelos was a human politician and the founder of the Outer Colony of Gao. Avelos served as the founding director of the program that led to Gao's colonization and later became the first President of the Gao Republic.[1]
Her legacy was immortalized as a hologram in the People's Collection of Presidential Holographs, located in the Gao Cabinet Chamber in the People's Palace. Avelos' life-sized hologram features her waist-deep in cycads, in a pioneer's pressure suit peeled open at the collar.[1] The street Avelos Avenue in the village of Wendosa was named after her,[2] as was Avelos Academy.[3]
