The ''Nuro'k Xur'' Spirit is an older [[design pattern]] of [[Sangheili]] origin, with modern examples incorporating a number of design evolutions iterated upon by the Merchants of Qikost for use in the [[Blooding Years]] - the civil war consuming [[Sanghelios]] in the wake of the fall of the [[Covenant]] empire. The modern upgrades applied to these older craft include a more streamlined profile, upgraded armor, improved in-atmosphere maneuverability, an articulated [[heavy plasma cannon]], and faster troop deployment - with each of the twin troop bays using individually-articulated doors and individual troop compartments. The ''Nuro'k Xur''-pattern was originally an older design of Sangheili origin,{{Ref/Reuse|Enc22}} and was brought back into service in the aftermath of the end of the [[Human-Covenant War]] as an improvement over the older {{Pattern|Dextro Xur|Spirit}}.{{Ref/Reuse|universe}} These older craft were acquired by any Sangheili faction with the ability or wealth to obtain them,{{Ref/Reuse|Enc22}} including [[Jul 'Mdama's Covenant]] and the [[Swords of Sanghelios]].{{Ref/Reuse|Waypoint}}
