The Vespin is deadly pseudo-arachnid that often lairs in the ancient Sangheili temple complexes on Sanghelios. The Vespin Warthog, an improved M12R Warthog with high-acceleration rockets and faster reload time, was named after this creature by the UNSC and the Swords of Sanghelios after conducting joint patrols against Covenant remnants and Created scouts.[1]
