The UNSC Musashi was a UNSC Carrier. The Musashi saw action at the Battle of Reach where it was destroyed while moving to cover the Orbital Defense Platforms. A needles thin beam of plasma from a Covenant Assault Carrier severed the Musashi amidship. The aft section probably crashed into the fore section as the engines continued to thrust[2].
Background
The ship shares its name with the Japanese battleship from the Second World War.
