Ray was an UNSC officer serving on the bridge of an unknown ship that was destroyed by a Covenant Plasma Torpedo. He and the other bridge members transmitted their goodbyes during the sixty seconds it took for the torpedo to impact. He is survived by his wife and then-unborn son.[1]
