The Plasma Pistol Glitch can be done on Halo 2.

Walkthrough

  1. Get a Plasma Pistol.
  2. Go to any map, and start the game (you don't need two people for this).
  3. Go to a Warthog. Now, everyone knows that a Plasma Pistol shakes when you charge it up? Well, get in the side seat of the Warthog, and charge up your Plasma Pistol.
  4. Get out when it is done charging. DO NOT RELEASE THE BOLT!

When you get out, your Plasma Pistol will still be shaking like it is overcharged, but there is no bolt on the end. This won't last forever. For example, if you dual wield it or fire it, it will return to its normal state, which means that you have to repeat the Warthog process. Happy overcharging!

If you wield a plasma pistol, enter a Warthog passenger seat, charge the plasma pistol and exit the Warthog, the Plasma Pistol shakes, but if you shoot, melee, or in any other way interrupt the plasma pistol, it will return to it's ordinary status.
